Rev. Kirkland Reynolds

Associate Pastor

Rev. Kirkland became the Associate Pastor at Woodside at the establishment of the Silver Spring Cooperative Parish on July 1, 2009.

A graduate of Emory University and The Candler School of Theology, he is a lifelong United Methodist and lives in Silver Spring, MD with his wife Jenny Cannon (who is also a United Methodist pastor) and their two cats, Harry and Calvin. While in college and seminary, Rev. Kirkland spent his summers working with youth as a United Methodist Volunteer in Mission in Belfast, Northern Ireland and in several capacities with the Youth Theological Initiative in Atlanta, GA.

He is committed to the United Methodist Church's message of "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors" and seeks to aid the church community's efforts to make and engage disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Rev. Kirkland was recently commissioned at the 2009 session by the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference. He is thankful for the ministry journey he is beginning and, in the meantime, hopes that this will finally be the year that his fantasy baseball team wins without relying on late-season trades or players who use performance enhancing drugs.
