AGES 3 THROUGH 6TH GRADES

We’re inviting all children to be a part of the excitement at our Vacation Bible School,
GALACTIC BLAST: A COSMIC ADVENTURE PRAISING GOD!

At GALACTIC BLAST, your children will become cadets on the starship Galactic Praise as we learn more about our wonderful, incredible, amazing, magnificent, awesome God.

After a high-energy opening on the starship Galactic Praise, the cadets spacewalk to the Good News Galaxy. Through the Bible stories there, children will witness how our mighty God is at work in the world. Cadets will learn Praise Phrases and Bible Booster memory verses that will boost their faith long after VBS.

The children will expand on what they’ve learned by participating in a variety of activities: making their own art projects at Cosmic Crafts, singing new music at Moons & Tunes, exploring science activities at the Orbital Observatory, participating in recreational activities at Rocket Rec, and enjoying tasty snacks at the Astro Bistro.

UPDATE 2/4: Due to the snow, the Vivaldi concert will be rescheduled for March 7. Church on Sunday, Feb. 7 will continue to be a combined service at Woodside at 10:00 AM.

The Chancel Choir will present Vivaldi's "Gloria" at 10:00 AM on March 7. Come enjoy the music!

Please note the changed service time. There will be no service or children's Sunday School at Marvin on that Sunday.

Arleeta's Pantry Gets A Facelift

Thanks to a very dedicated and hardworking group, our food pantry got some much needed work. Special thanks to the following people: Bob and Suzanne Browning, Wendy Hudgins, Jane Cox and Terri Vernoski for patching the walls and replacing the drywall, our youth group who did a wonderful job painting the pantry as their service project on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The youth had to also take all of the shelves and the food out of the pantry before they began painting. Rebecca McGinnis helped to direct them and Ronnie Matthews and his brother popped in to help and to make sure everything was okay. Also thanks to Ann, Ed, and Meredith Metcalf, Jeff Vaughn, Wendy Hudgins, and Jane Cox for taking the time to put all of the shelves and food back into the pantry.

Be sure to thank these people when you see them for all of their hard work. An open house will be held this Sunday after church for all to see. Arleeta's Pantry is located at Woodside just off of the Narthex. THANKS AGAIN!!!
