We celebrate the sacrament of Communion (The Lord’s Supper) at least once a month on the first Sunday of the month. All people are invited to experience the means of grace found through Christ’s presence in this holy mystery as we practice an open table for all who seek God’s reconciling and redeeming love.
Baptism is the sacrament of initiation into the Church and is a sign of God’s covenant with us. Baptism is an act that looks back with gratitude on what God’s grace has already accomplished, it is an act that points to God’s grace in the here and now, and it looks forward to what God’s grace will accomplish in the future. Persons of any age may be baptized because Christ’s body, the Church, is a great family that includes persons of all ages. The waters of the font welcome and cleanse us, claim us as God’s own, and set us on the path of our faith journey.
Our children have a special place in worship—we have a children’s message just about every Sunday of the year, and once a month the children (ages 6 and up) stay in the worship service, rather than going to Sunday school, for our Everyone Worships! Sundays. We have Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month and all are welcome to receive communion—we practice an open table for all people of all ages.
